A successful church is one where broken people, loved by God, love broken people in community.
In Acts 2, we see the first church forming not around nationality, race, ethnicity or culture, rather we see them coalescing around a sincere love for God and a sincere love for each, other born from the love of God in Christ. We see this church remaining in the familiar religious and social traditions of regular worship and prayer but being willing to reach out of their comfort zone to love their neighbors as themselves. This radical love for God and radical hospitality became the church's calling card, an attractive witness to the love of God for all mankind.
This is the mark of the successful church, the love of God and neighbor. This is Harvest's goal.
